Position: Chief, Human Resource and Facilities Management Officer

Job Summary
The Chief, Human Resource and Facilities Management Officer will lead the development and execution of HR and facilities strategies that align with business objectives. The role requires expertise in talent management, facilities operations, organizational transformation, compliance, and sustainability initiatives. The officer will foster partnerships across departments, influence organizational culture, and ensure optimal use of resources to support the company’s growth.

Key Skills & Attributes

Ability to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives
Expertise in facilities management (maintenance, compliance, sustainability)
Strong leadership to influence culture and drive organizational change
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and inclusivity skills
Knowledge of HR software (HRIS, ERP) and data analytics for decision-making
Budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control capabilities
Experience managing high-rise building projects
Proven talent acquisition, training, and succession planning expertise
Commitment to integrity, diversity, equity, and inclusion
Knowledge of employment laws, HSE regulations, and compliance standards
Ability to manage organizational transformations (hybrid work, new tech, etc.)
Experience in promoting energy efficiency and sustainability goals

Job Requirement

Education: MA/MBA in HRM, Business, Facilities Management, or related fields
Experience: 14 years progressive experience in HR and Facilities roles, of which at least 7 years in senior managerial roles in the Insurance/Financial industry
Professional Certification (Preferred): SHRM, CFM, CII (Chartered Insurance Institute), or LOMA certification
Age: Below 45 years
Place of Work: Addis Ababa, Head Office
