Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI) External Vacancy Announcements

The Ethiopian Agricultural Transformation Institute (ATI), formerly known as the Agricultural Transformation Agency (ATA), is a strategy and delivery-oriented government institute created to accelerate the growth and transformation of Ethiopia’s agriculture sector. ATI works to improve the livelihoods of smallholder farmers by promoting inclusiveness, resilience, sustainability, and income growth.

Through programs such as the Agricultural Commercialization Clusters (ACC), digital agriculture, and the ADEY program, ATI is creating sustainable job opportunities for women and youth, promoting climate-smart practices, and strengthening agribusinesses. ATI is now launching the Energizing Women and Youth in Agri-Food System (EWAS) project, which aims to create over 4,100 jobs for young women in grain milling, horticulture, and apiculture value chains.

ATI invites qualified and motivated candidates to apply for the following positions:

1. Senior Project Officer II – Agribusiness in Apiculture

Term of Employment: One year with possibility of extension
Duty Station(s): Oromia (Addis Ababa), Amhara (Bahir Dar), Tigray (Mekelle), SNNP (Hawassa)
Required Number: 4 (1 per location)
Deadline: October 2, 2025

Qualification & Experience:

Master’s Degree in Apiculture, Beekeeping, Honeybee Product Processing Technology, Livestock Production, or related fields
Minimum 8 years’ experience in apiculture and honeybee product processing
Strong background in donor-funded projects, agribusiness, and youth/women-focused interventions
Technical experience in honeybee product processing machines installation and operation
Practical knowledge of value chain linkages and business plan development
Strong English and regional language skills

2. Junior Finance Officer

Term of Employment: One year with possibility of extension
Duty Station: Bahir Dar, Ethiopia
Required Number: 1
Deadline: October 2, 2025

Qualification & Experience:

BA Degree in Accounting from a recognized university
Minimum 2 years’ experience as Junior Finance Officer, Accountant, or Cashier
Knowledge of Microsoft Office; accounting software (QuickBooks, Peachtree, etc.) is an advantage
Experience in cash management, reconciliations, and VAT/WHT handling

3. Senior Project Officer III – Agribusiness in Crops

Qualification & Experience:

Master’s Degree in Agronomy, Plant/Crop Sciences, Horticulture, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or related fields
Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in youth/women-focused projects in crop value chains
Strong technical experience in grain and horticulture value chains (production, post-harvest, agro-processing, marketing)
Experience in donor-funded projects, crop processing machinery installation, and agribusiness development
Excellent English and regional language communication

Key Skills: Planning, teamwork, communication, business advisory
