Position: Branch Manager I

Job Summary

The Branch Manager I is responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and controlling all banking activities of the branch. The role ensures full compliance with the Bank’s policies, regulatory directives, and national laws. The Branch Manager leads business development and sales initiatives, oversees customer service excellence, and ensures operational efficiency.

The position also involves preparing and submitting annual budgets, work plans, and performance reports, as well as actively engaging with the local business community to promote the Bank’s products and services.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, lead, and control branch banking operations
  • Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Lead sales, marketing, and business development activities
  • Drive customer service excellence and operational efficiency
  • Prepare annual budgets, work plans, and progress reports
  • Coordinate staff performance, targets, and productivity
  • Represent the Bank in community and business forums

Required Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of banking experience
  • Out of which 1 year must be served as Customer Service Manager or equivalent managerial role

  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Sound knowledge of modern management techniques
  • Strong understanding of banking laws, regulations, and commercial business practices
  • Results-oriented and customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to set and manage sales targets and operational goals
  • Effective human resource management skills
