1️⃣ Private Sector Advisor (Tax Policy Advisor) #015/2026

📍 Duty Station: Ministry of Revenue (MoR), Addis Ababa

📝 Project Background

Under the Private Sector Development in Ethiopia (PSD-E) programme, GIZ supports modernization and harmonization of Ethiopia’s tax administration and customs systems (2025–2029).

🎓 Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Public Finance, Law, or related field
  • Specialization in Tax Policy / PFM (e.g., Chartered Tax Advisor, TADAT)
  • Minimum 10 years experience in tax administration or revenue authorities
  • Experience advising government on tax reform
  • Strong knowledge of digital tax systems & digital economy taxation
  • Fluency in English & Amharic

🛠 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tax policy advisory to MoR
  • Support risk-based audit system modernization
  • Contribute to tax dispute reform and harmonization
  • Monitor legislative developments & prepare policy briefs
  • Coordinate project implementation & stakeholder alignment

2️⃣ Intern – Portfolio Management & Communication (AU Office) #016/2026

📍 Duty Station: Addis Ababa

⏳ Duration: 6 Months

👩‍🎓 Eligibility: Fresh graduates (within 6 months)

🎓 Fields of Study

International Relations, Political Science, Communications, African Studies, or related fields.

🛠 Responsibilities

  • Draft social media & communication content
  • Support data & portfolio management
  • Prepare briefs & presentations
  • Support events & workshops
  • Graphic design skills (Adobe, Canva) advantageous

3️⃣ Intern – Gender & Social Cohesion (CDSDR III & FGM-Prev) #017/2026

📍 Duty Station: Jigjiga (Somali Region)

Projects:

  • CDSDR III – Drought resilience in lowlands
  • FGM-Prev – Prevention of Female Genital Mutilation in Horn of Africa

🎓 Qualification

Bachelor’s Degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related fields.

🎓 Qualification

  • MA/MSc in M&E, Statistics, Economics, Development Studies
  • Minimum 5 years M&E experience
  • Experience with BMZ & EU reporting frameworks

🛠 Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage M&E systems
  • Use Power BI, Kobo, SurveyCTO
  • Conduct data quality assurance
  • Lead reporting & adaptive management
  • Support capacity building & knowledge management

6️⃣ Admin & Finance Specialist – CCC-SU #020/2026

📍 Duty Station: Arba Minch

🎓 Qualification

  • BA in Accounting or Financial Management
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • GIZ experience preferred

🛠 Responsibilities

  • Manage financing agreements & subsidies
  • Ensure compliance & internal controls
  • Provide financial advisory & partner training
  • Support administrative coordination

🎓 Qualification

  • Diploma in Accounting
  • 2–3 years experience
  • Experience with GIZ finance procedures preferred

  • Cash handling & petty cash management
  • Process payments & advances
  • Travel settlements
  • Support finance team operations

🎓 Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Logistics, Management, or Law
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • GIZ procurement experience preferred
