📦 Position: Material Management Officer

🎯 Job Objective

The Material Management Officer supports the Procurement and Supply Department by ensuring efficient warehouse and store operations. The role focuses on receiving, storing, and issuing materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the availability of materials needed for daily operational activities.

📋 Key Duties and Responsibilities

Receive materials from suppliers and verify them against purchase orders and delivery notes
Prepare Goods Receiving Notes (GRN) and report damaged or missing items
Maintain accurate stock records, bin cards, and inventory registers
Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and report shortages
Issue materials only with approved Material Request Forms (MRF)
Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual stock counts
Reconcile system stock balance with physical inventory
Maintain proper documentation including stock registers and issue notes
Implement computerized inventory control systems
Ensure proper warehouse arrangement and apply FIFO (First In First Out) method
Follow reorder points and prepare purchase requests for critical items
Coordinate with departments regarding material consumption
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and security of the warehouse
Prepare monthly inventory reports
Perform other duties assigned by the Procurement & Supply Manager
