External Vacancy Announcement: Farm Africa

Farm Africa is a specialist international NGO founded in 1985, dedicated to helping farmers and herders in East Africa grow more food, manage natural resources sustainably, and build strong rural livelihoods. We are currently seeking qualified professionals for the following positions to support our Harness Project.


Open Positions

1. Project Finance and Admin Officer

  • Education: BA Degree or above in Accounting or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience (NGO or private sector).
  • Role: Manage field office finance (bank reconciliations, cash books, settlements) and administration (procurement, logistics, vehicle movement, and HR records).
  • Location: Bale – Robe Field Office (Oromia).
  • Salary: GBP 493 per month.

2. Procurement Officer

  • Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management or a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an International NGO setting.
  • Role: Lead transparent procurement processes, conduct market research, manage supplier rosters, and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
  • Location: Addis Ababa (with field travel).
  • Salary: GBP 905 per month.

3. Community Development Facilitator (CDF)

  • Education: BSc in NRM, Forestry, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in Participatory Forest Management (PFM), watershed management, or NRM.
  • Role: Implement project activities at the community level, facilitate beneficiary selection, and lead capacity-building for CBOs and unions.
  • Location: South West Region (3 positions) and Oromia (2 positions: Dello Menna & Harena Buluk).
  • Salary: GBP 443 per month.

4. Field Cashier

  • Education: College Diploma (Accounting/Secretarial) or BA (Accounting/Management).
  • Experience: 5 years for Diploma holders or 2 years for Degree holders.
  • Role: Manage petty cash, prepare payment documents, handle office correspondences, and assist in procurement and filing.
  • Location: Bale Field Office and South West Region.
  • Salary: GBP 328 per month.

General Information

  • Deadline: April 30, 2026.
  • Duration: Up to March 31, 2027 (with a 60-day probation period).
