The Ultimate Insurance Brokers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Underwriting Insurance Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in insurance brokerage, focusing on policy administration, risk assessment, and digital record management using specialized industry software.

Position: Junior Underwriting Insurance Officer

Job Summary: The Junior Officer supports the underwriting department in preparing quotations, issuing and renewing policies, and maintaining accurate client records. The role involves significant use of the SIBRO insurance management system and requires a high level of confidentiality and professional communication.

1. Key Responsibilities

Policy Administration: Assist in issuing, renewing, and amending insurance policies; handle endorsements and cancellations under senior supervision.
Documentation: Maintain accurate physical and digital client files; ensure all applications meet UIB checklists and regulatory requirements.
Quotation Support: Collect and verify client data to prepare insurance quotations and conduct preliminary risk assessments.
SIBRO System Management: Accurately enter and update policy data, upload documents, and ensure consistency between manual and system records in the SIBRO software.
Customer Service: Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage options and premium rates, escalating complex issues to senior staff.
Compliance: Adhere to company policies and National Bank/industry regulations; support quality control reviews.

2. Candidate Profile

Education & Qualifications

Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Note: Professional certifications in insurance or underwriting are an added advantage.

Technical & Soft Skills

Software: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word), databases, and a willingness to master the SIBRO system.
Interpersonal: Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
Attributes: Keen attention to detail, strong judgment, and problem-solving abilities.
Core Competencies: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle stress calmly, and meet strict deadlines.
