Vacant Position & Overview

Position: Junior Legal Officer

Duty Station: Addis Ababa and Adama
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary: As per company scale / Competitive

Key Responsibilities

Legal Drafting & Documentation:
- Assist in preparing, reviewing, and organizing legal documents, contracts, and loan agreements.
- Draft standard legal correspondence and formal notices.
Litigation & Compliance:
- Support ongoing litigation processes, court filings, and regular court case follow-ups.
- Ensure institutional operations adhere to applicable national laws and corporate policies.
Advisory & Communication:
- Handle customer legal inquiries, complaints, and dispute resolutions in coordination with management.
- Maintain accurate legal records, files, and case registries.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) Degree from a recognized university.
Work Experience:
- 1–2 years of relevant professional legal experience.
Technical Competencies & Skills:
- Sound knowledge of Ethiopian laws, legal codes, and judicial/court procedures.
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Excel, Email applications).
- Good legal drafting, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, manage tight deadlines, and perform under pressure.
