The company operates a manufacturing facility located in the Oromia Special Zone (Chancho Town, Sululta District) and produces key construction materials including Portland Pozzolana Cement (PPC) and Ordinary Portland Cement (OPC). Ethio Cement PLC is dedicated to supplying quality cement products to meet the expanding demands of the national construction sector.

Open Position & Requirements

Purchaser

Quantity Required: 1
Duty Station: Addis Ababa (Head Office)
Reports To: Head, Procurement Unit
Terms of Employment: Full-Time
Department: Procurement and Logistics
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase materials, supplies, and spare parts from the local market based on approved purchase orders.
- Execute timely local market purchases to ensure required commodities maintain optimal minimum order quantities.
- Follow up on the prompt and proper delivery of materials required for factory operations and maintenance tasks.
- Coordinate with local workshops or garages regarding maintenance-related supplies and required materials.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:
- Educational Background: BA Degree or Diploma in Auto-Mechanics, Purchasing/Procurement, Business Management, or a related field.
- Work Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience in purchasing, preferably within factory or business environments.
- Key Competencies: Demonstrable integrity, self-motivation, strong knowledge of local market dynamics, excellent organizational capabilities, and effective communication skills.
