The Public Diplomacy Section of the Embassy of the United States of America is pleased to announce the Fulbright African Research Scholar Program (FARSP) for the 2025-2026 academic year. The FARSP is administered by the Council for the International Exchange of Scholars (CIES), a division of the Institute of International Education, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State.
The FARSP offers two categories of grants: Research grants and Program and Curriculum Development grants.
The FARSP includes a special group of grants for scholars with proposals in HIV/AIDS-related research. Candidates may apply either as research scholars or program and curriculum development scholars.
Interested candidates must submit their applications through the online application system accessible at https://apply.iie.org/fvsp2025.
