Habesha Cement S.C. is a leading cement producer in Ethiopia. Its cement plant, operational since January 2017, has a production capacity of 3,000 tons of clinker per day, equivalent to 1.2 million tons of cement annually.

1. Archive Officer

Purpose of the Job:

To preserve company information and data through the safekeeping of employee records and valuable documents.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Organize archival records and develop classification systems for easy access.
• Acquire, process, and maintain records of archival materials, including items received, stored, issued, and returned.
• Manage archival materials by placing items on reserve, checking items in and out, and removing outdated materials.
• Provide reference services to users needing archival materials.
• Prepare archival records, such as document descriptions, to facilitate information retrieval.
• Authenticate and appraise historical documents and materials.
• Create and maintain accessible computer archives and databases using current electronic storage technologies.
• Preserve records and documents by copying them to digital formats when necessary.
• Initiate the discarding of inactive files or materials.
• Perform additional activities as instructed by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Education: College Diploma/10+4 or higher in Management, Accounting, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience.
