
Position: Human Resources Manager
Location: Landmark General Hospital, Addis Ababa
About the Job:
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions within Landmark General Hospital, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work culture. Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager will lead strategic planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and training collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, interviews, selection, onboarding
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop recruitment strategies
Onboarding and Training
- Design structured onboarding programs for smooth new hire integration
- Coordinate technical and soft skills training programs
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and employee performance
- Foster a positive work environment by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts
- Implement employee engagement initiatives
- Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback
Employee Relations
- Provide guidance on employee relations issues ensuring fairness and consistency
- Promote open communication
Performance Management
- Develop and manage performance appraisal systems
- Guide managers on performance improvement and employee development
- Ensure fair and consistent performance evaluations aligned with organizational goals
Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee compensation and benefits administration ensuring competitiveness and equity
- Conduct market research to update salary structures and benefits
- Manage benefits enrollment and communication
Policy Development and Compliance
- Develop, implement, and update HR policies compliant with local labor laws
- Maintain ethical HR practices and confidentiality of records
Organizational Development
- Collaborate on organizational strategies and workforce planning
- Facilitate change management and promote continuous improvement
HR Metrics and Reporting
- Analyze HR data to evaluate program effectiveness
- Prepare reports with trends and recommendations for management
- Use data to inform decision-making and strategic planning
About You:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field
- 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in healthcare
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
