πΉ Job Summary
The Junior Accountant will process payments, reconcile bank statements, maintain accurate accounting records, and support financial operations under the Division Head β Treasury.
β Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare payment vouchers for check and bank transfer transactions.
- Perform daily data entry for accounting records.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements for all accounts.
- Verify budgets before preparing payments.
- Ensure proper financial documentation for all transactions.
- Deduct and manage withholding taxes per tax laws.
- Process payment requests in line with company policies.
- Coordinate with the Division Head and National Finance Manager on accurate coding of transactions.
- Post daily transaction documents to control and subsidiary ledgers.
- Check expenditures for justification, documentation, and proper account charges.
- Maintain and update journal voucher registers.
- Reconcile staff advances and ensure timely clearance.
- Prepare intercompany transactions and collaborate with teams.
- Assist external auditors by providing required documentation.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the supervisor.
π€ About You
π Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial documentation.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an advantage.
π Experience
- Relevant experience in accounting or finance preferred.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with a positive attitude.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Strong communication skills for effective cross-department collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Publisher, Outlook, PowerPoint).
