Key Responsibilities:
✅ Collaborate with the Editor-in-Chief and editorial manager to identify and package compelling stories for online and print.
✅ Oversee content development, trafficking, and quality control.
✅ Coordinate with design and digital teams to align content with visuals and digital platforms.
✅ Edit and proofread articles, manage editorial calendars, and meet publishing deadlines.
✅ Monitor industry trends and audience preferences.
✅ Represent the publication at events and conferences.
✅ Supervise, support, and pitch story ideas to reporters weekly.
Requirements:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field.
📝 Extensive editorial experience, preferably in a leadership role.
🗣 Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
🗂 Strong organizational and project management abilities.
🌐 Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and social media.
🔎 Exceptional background in writing and research, especially on monetary and fiscal policies.
📣 Fluent in English.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Supervise and train reporters, ensuring timely and quality news production.
✅ React to breaking news, identify trends, and lead feature writing.
✅ Source and assign reporters to events and news leads.
✅ Guide reporters in gathering information for in-depth articles.
✅ Edit drafts, pitch feature ideas, and occasionally write articles.
✅ Provide feedback to improve reporters’ journalistic skills.
✅ Communicate efficiently with senior editors, manage weekly story budgets, and keep editors informed of story progress.
Required Qualifications:
🎓 Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or related social sciences.
📅 At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
🗣 Proficiency in written and spoken English; Amharic is an added advantage.
⏰ Strong time management, communication, and leadership skills.
⚡ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
