Addis Finder Trading is seeking a qualified Senior Accountant to ensure complete financial records and control financial activities, aiming for timely and reliable financial reporting to enhance company performance.


Position: Senior Accountant

  • Mission and Responsibilities: Ensure complete financial record and control financial activities to have timely and reliable financial report for decision making to enhance the performance of the company.
  • Main Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):
    • Manage general ledger, journals, for a chart of Accounts are properly recorded and coded into the general ledger; Cash in Office and Bank, Bank Credit and Debit Advice, cash disbursements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenues and others.
    • Ensures the proper implementation of financial policies & procedures in the section.
    • Check & approve payments related documents & follow-up timely as per the company policy.
    • Follow-up commission Receivables from Ayat S.co (our major client) and go to the company when necessary for collection in a timely manner.
    • Prepare all monthly required tax declarations and feed in online declaration format of ERCA before the Ethiopian calendar date of 25.
    • Facilitate parking services for staff and keep their record correctly to settle liabilities.
    • Act as a checker for Monthly Payroll and any payment in the section.
    • Keep the record apartment buyer’s payment receipts on the given spreadsheet format on the same date shown in the receipt.
    • Perform any other assignments provided by immediate supervisor and other managers.
  • Qualifications:
    • BA Degree in Accounting/ Accounting and Finance or related field of study.
    • 4 years experience as accountant or junior accountant.
  • Performance Management: Quality of work, quantity of reports based on KPIs and Evaluation of deliverables.
  • Relations:
    • Internal: AHF working units and employees.
    • External: Tax authority, suppliers & Government offices.
  • Competencies and Professional skills required:
    • Experience working with double entry system.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Analytical skill and due concepts of IFRS.
    • Microsoft applications and Peachtree.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Personal Skills: Honesty, Tightness, Commitment, Accuracy, Confidentiality.
  • Required Skill: Adaptability, Accounting.
