
Timret Lehiwot Ethiopia (TLHE), a non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to bringing positive change to marginalized communities, is looking for passionate individuals to join their team. They are currently hiring for an outreach worker and an HR/Personnel Intern.

1. Sex Workers Program Outreach Worker with Intensive Outreach Role
This full-time position is critical for TLHE’s efforts to support marginalized populations.
- Place of Work: Hawassa and Bahirdar
- Salary: Gross salary of 15,000 ETB (Fifteen Thousand Ethiopian Birr).
Responsibilities:
- Lead and conduct outreach activities with peer educators to identify and engage female sex workers.
- Maintain accurate records of program participants and Drop-In Center (DIC) service access.
- Supervise and support peer educators during cascading sessions.
- Provide counseling, referrals, and advocacy support to sex workers.
- Inform and connect sex workers with TSINAT SRHR program services.
- Facilitate SRHR training for young female sex workers.
- Oversee DIC operations, document outreach activities, and compile case stories.
- Maintain detailed administrative records, statistics, and reports.
- Participate in program planning, evaluation, and representation of TLHE.
- Participate in developing and maintaining partnerships with other service providers to ensure coordinated responses and reduce stigma.
- Maintain all DIC standard operational procedures (SOP) and signed MOUs.
Qualifications:
- Diploma and/or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or other related fields.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience for Diploma holders or 0 years of experience for Degree holders with marginalized populations, preferably sex workers.
- Any HIV-related training or volunteer service with youth or sex workers is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of community resources and services.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.

2. HR/Personnel Intern
This internship provides a practical, hands-on experience in human resources and personnel administration for a motivated individual.
Purpose of the Internship:
To provide valuable insight into HR operations in a professional setting and support day-to-day HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining and organizing HR records and personnel files.
- Support the recruitment process (posting vacancies, shortlisting, scheduling interviews).
- Help coordinate onboarding and orientation for new staff.
- Assist with tracking staff leave, attendance, and contract timelines.
- Draft HR-related letters and documents.
- Support employee engagement and wellness activities.
- Assist in updating HR databases and systems.
- Perform other administrative and HR support tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or current enrollment in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- High level of discretion and respect for confidentiality.
- Demonstrated interest in human resources or organizational management.
