Independent Media Agency Plc., the parent company of the English business daily Fortune, is seeking qualified applicants for several positions. The company specializes in providing market information, marketing, distribution, and advertising. The deadline for all applications is August 31, 2025.

Vacant Positions

• Sales Agent: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field, with proven experience in a similar role being desirable. Applicants should have strong communication, interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Office.
• Creative Art Director: A minimum of five years of experience in a senior design role, preferably in media or publishing, is required. Candidates need training in Graphic Design or a related field, expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, and proven experience managing a creative team.
• Editor-in-Chief: The ideal candidate must have solid directorial experience and be fully fluent in English. They need sample experience in content and production management, strong copyediting skills, and the ability to craft groundbreaking cover stories. A solid understanding of the business sector is also required.
• Deputy Editor-in-Chief: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, with editorial experience, preferably in a leadership role. Candidates must be fluent in English and have a strong background in writing and research, particularly in financial and economic policies.
• Assignment Editor: Applicants should have an undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, or a related social science field, with at least one year of relevant experience. Proficiency in written and spoken English is required, and fluency in Amharic is an added advantage.
• Reporters: This role is for individuals with a strong passion for journalism and a commitment to it as a career. Requirements include fluency in English, strong writing and communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.
• Research Editor: Candidates must have an undergraduate degree in economics, mathematics, finance, or a related discipline and at least one year of experience in a similar role. Full proficiency in written and spoken English is also required.
• Plates Developer: Proven experience as a Graphics developer is required, along with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and a strong portfolio. A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design is preferred.
