1. Human Rights Officer – Research, Campaign, and Advocacy
Number of Positions: 1
Reports To: Director, Disability Rights and Rights of Older Persons
Contract Type: Open/Indefinite
Salary: ETB 20,400 – 23,683 + ETB 8,640 Housing + ETB 3,300 Transport
Purpose of the Job:
Support the development and implementation of advocacy and campaign strategies to promote and protect the rights of persons with disabilities and older persons in Ethiopia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop advocacy and campaign plans on priority human rights issues
- Conduct awareness-raising campaigns and programs
- Assess protection needs of persons with disabilities and older persons
- Support legislative and policy initiatives
- Communicate and influence stakeholders, including government authorities
- Conduct research, legal reviews, and produce advocacy briefs
- Organize events and movements for human rights promotion
- Follow up on international and regional treaty recommendations
- Maintain stakeholder relationships and coordinate capacity building
- Prepare progress reports for the Director
Qualifications & Experience:
- LLB/LLM Degree in Law, Human Rights Law, or International Law
- 4 years relevant experience for LLB, 2 years for LLM
- Computer literate; Amharic required, other local languages advantageous

2. Partnership Coordinator
Number of Positions: 1
Reports To: Director, Partnership
Contract Type: Open/Indefinite
Salary: ETB 25,756 – 30,676 + ETB 12,000 Housing + ETB 3,300 Transport + ETB 1,800 Representation
Purpose of the Job:
Coordinate engagement with partners, ensure effective collaboration, and follow up on joint projects to uphold EHRC partnership principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop partnership identification and selection guidelines
- Provide technical support to staff on partner relations
- Coordinate partnership activities, evaluate commitments, and maintain records
- Network with local, regional, and national stakeholders
- Maintain a central database for partnership activities
- Monitor partnership performance and compliance
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
- LLB/LLM or BA/MA in Law, Human Rights Law, Political Science, International Relations, or related field
- 8 years relevant experience for LLB/BA, 6 years for LLM/MA
- Computer literate; proficiency in Amharic and English required, other local languages advantageous
