Dashen Bank – Adama District is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Customer Service Officer (Maker/Checker) for various branches under the district.

Job Summary

Customer Service Officer (Maker):
Responsible for front-office customer support at the branch, including:

  • Account maintenance
  • Processing payment and collection transactions
  • Handling cash and non-cash transactions
  • Responding to customer requests and enquiries
  • Delivering frontline customer service in line with bank policies

Customer Service Officer (Checker):
Responsible for authorization and verification of front-office activities, including:

  • Checking/approving account maintenance, payments, and collections
  • Authorizing cash and non-cash transactions
  • Ensuring compliance with procedures and authorization limits
  • Responding to customer enquiries and supporting branch operations

About You

Academic & Professional Qualifications

  • BA Degree in Marketing Management, Accounting, Management, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related fields.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Functional / Technical Competencies

  • Good understanding of financial products and services
  • Solid knowledge of bank accounting and operational procedures
  • Ability to handle client enquiries and provide appropriate solutions
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills and good command of the core banking system
