
Ethiopian Engineering Corporation is looking for a qualified and experienced professional for the following position:
Position: Trainer (Projects)
Position Overview / Scope of Role
The Trainer (Projects) is responsible for developing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for skilled and semi-skilled labor across all project sites. The role focuses on improving productivity, identifying skill gaps, and strengthening workforce capability through effective training and coaching.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs assessments and identify skill gaps across all project sites
- Liaise with the Training Coordinator / Training & Capability Manager and HR teams to design and implement training programs
- Design and develop training curricula and schedules for skilled and semi-skilled labor
- Deliver trainings using appropriate methods such as:
- Face-to-face sessions
- Practical and simulated training
- Mentoring and on-the-job training
- Prepare evaluation and assessment exams for trainees at the end of training sessions
- Ensure trainings are conducted efficiently and cost-effectively, maximizing use of internal resources
- Maintain updated training databases and records
- Conduct site assessments across projects and share improvement recommendations
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or other related fields
- More than 3 years of experience working as a Trainer
- Additional Diploma in TVET Training is an added advantage
