Job Summary
Good Beginnings Daycare and Preschool is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support classroom teachers in creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment for young children. This role focuses on assisting with lessons, supervising children, and maintaining classroom organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers during lessons, activities, and playtime
- Assist children with learning tasks, routines, and transitions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly classroom
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities
- Support children’s social, emotional, and behavioral development
- Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom displays
- Help with meals, hygiene routines, and rest times (age-appropriate)
- Observe and report concerns related to children’s well-being or safety
- Follow school policies and maintain professional boundaries
- Collaborate effectively with teachers and staff
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum: Certificate or Diploma
- Previous experience with children is advantageous
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, attentive, and child-centered attitude
- Ability to follow instructions and school procedures
- Basic knowledge of child safety and hygiene practices
