๐Ÿฉบ Position 1: Health Officer (Immunization Project Officer)

Location: Mubarek Woreda, Dawa Zone, Somali Region

๐Ÿ”น Role Purpose

The Health Officer will lead and coordinate implementation of the CGPP Immunization Project, focusing on:

  • Strengthening routine immunization services
  • Supporting cold chain systems
  • Improving EPI documentation and surveillance
  • Supporting immunization campaigns
  • Building capacity of health workers and community volunteers
  • Ensuring data quality, reporting, and donor compliance

๐Ÿ”น Key Responsibilities

  • Develop project work plans and budget forecasts
  • Coordinate with Woreda & Zonal Health Offices
  • Support immunization outreach & mobile vaccination sessions
  • Provide training and mentorship to HWs/HEWs
  • Support vaccine cold chain management
  • Ensure data validation and quality assurance
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly & annual reports
  • Support advocacy and government engagement

๐Ÿ”น Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc in Public Health, Nursing, or related field
  • Minimum 3 years NGO experience (2 years in immunization/child health)
  • Training in IIP, Cold Chain Management & MLM required
  • Strong understanding of Ethiopian health policy & EPI strategy
  • Experience working with Regional, Zonal & Woreda Health Bureaus
  • Strong budgeting & donor compliance knowledge
  • Local language proficiency required

๐ŸŒพ Position 2: FSL Officer (Food Security & Livelihoods)

Location: Gode Field Office
Reports to: FSL Coordinator
Contract Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)

๐Ÿ”น Role Purpose

Responsible for day-to-day community mobilization and implementation of livelihood-based emergency responses, including:

  • Agriculture & livestock interventions
  • Multipurpose cash assistance (MPCA)
  • Participatory beneficiary targeting
  • Monitoring & reporting

๐Ÿ”น Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct baseline needs assessments
  • Facilitate beneficiary selection processes
  • Supervise implementation of livelihood activities
  • Provide technical support to local authorities & communities
  • Ensure proper resource utilization
  • Prepare biweekly, monthly & quarterly reports
  • Conduct regular supervision and field visits

๐Ÿ”น Qualifications & Experience

  • BSc/BA/MSc/MA in Agriculture, Livelihoods, NRM, DRR, Food Security, Economics or related fields
  • Minimum 3 years NGO experience
  • Experience in emergency livelihood interventions
  • Strong participatory planning & monitoring skills
  • Excellent report writing skills
  • Willingness to travel to field locations
