Position: Finance Intern
Job Summary: The Finance Intern will gain hands-on experience in financial operations, accounting, reporting, and compliance within a dynamic investment banking environment. This role is designed for individuals looking to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Recording: Support the recording of daily financial transactions and the preparation of payment vouchers.
- Reconciliations: Assist with bank and supplier reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Reporting: Help prepare financial reports and budget variance analyses.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Documentation: Maintain a structured and proper filing system for all financial records.
- Reporting: Deliver weekly and monthly progress reports as assigned.
Candidate Profile
Qualifications & Education
- Education: Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields.
- Academic Record: Minimum CGPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
- Languages: Excellent communication skills in both English and Amharic.
Technical & Soft Skills
- Software: Strong Excel skills are mandatory. Familiarity with accounting software is a significant advantage.
- Accounting: Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Attributes: High level of integrity, sharp attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn.
