Job Summary
The IT/Communication Officer is a dual-function role responsible for:
- Maintaining and upgrading computer systems and networks
- Acting as the organization’s Brand Custodian by managing digital content, social media, and organizational branding
Key Responsibilities
IT & Systems:
- Develop and maintain local networks ensuring performance, security, and privacy
- Install and configure hardware/software, manage databases, and oversee system operations
- Provide troubleshooting, staff training, and maintain equipment/inventory logs
Communication & Brand Management:
- Manage and maintain MSD’s brand across digital platforms
- Develop content for awareness campaigns, social media, and web updates
- Design promotional materials (banners, flyers, booklets, etc.)
Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
- BSc in Computer Science, IT, or related field
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years as an IT Officer
- IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an advantage
Skills:
- Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, internet security, and data privacy
- Commitment to ethical standards and evidence of no history of sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment (SEAH)
