Job Summary

The IT/Communication Officer is a dual-function role responsible for:

• Maintaining and upgrading computer systems and networks
• Acting as the organization’s Brand Custodian by managing digital content, social media, and organizational branding

Key Responsibilities

IT & Systems:

• Develop and maintain local networks ensuring performance, security, and privacy
• Install and configure hardware/software, manage databases, and oversee system operations
• Provide troubleshooting, staff training, and maintain equipment/inventory logs

Communication & Brand Management:

• Manage and maintain MSD’s brand across digital platforms
• Develop content for awareness campaigns, social media, and web updates
• Design promotional materials (banners, flyers, booklets, etc.)

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

• BSc in Computer Science, IT, or related field

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years as an IT Officer
• IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are an advantage

Skills:

• Strong diagnostic, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• In-depth knowledge of computer systems, networks, internet security, and data privacy
• Commitment to ethical standards and evidence of no history of sexual exploitation, abuse, or harassment (SEAH)
