Since its creation in 2009, ALIMA has treated over 13 million patients across 14 countries, including Mali, Burkina Faso, Central African Republic, Nigeria, Niger, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Guinea, Sudan, Mauritania, and Haiti.
In Ethiopia, ALIMA has been operating since 2022, providing healthcare, nutrition, and rapid response support in Somali and Tigray Regions. ALIMA works in partnership with local NGOs and government agencies to strengthen healthcare systems, enhance nutrition support, and improve community resilience.
1. Capital Logistics Supervisor – Addis Ababa
- Place of Work: Addis Ababa (with possible coordination in Mekelle, Shire, and Hargele)
- Qualification: Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a technical field related to logistics
- Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in logistics in medical or humanitarian INGO settings
- Multi-skilled experience in logistics, supply chain, and equipment management
- Experience with ALIMA is an asset
- Skills/Competencies:
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Google Suite
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Effective communication, team management, and ability to work under pressure
- Professional rigor, discretion, and autonomy
- Fluency in English and Amharic (knowledge of other local languages is a plus)
- Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and follow up on all logistics requests at coordination offices
- Manage office equipment, infrastructure maintenance, and supplies
- Track and monitor assets using ALI-ASSET system and Google Drive
- Support supply chain activities, including procurement, stock management, and documentation
- Ensure proper receipt, classification, and storage of inventory following FIFO/FEFO rules
- Promote environmental responsibility and implement zero-waste policies
- Implement preventive measures against abuse of power, gender-based, and sexual violence
- Contribute to monthly logistics reports and data compilation
- Supervise drivers, guards, and technical staff
