FH Ethiopia (FHE) is currently seeking competent, qualified candidates to fill two distinct logistics and procurement positions.
Open Positions & Requirements
1. Logistics Officer (Internal/External)
- Duty Station: Addis Ababa
- Contract Duration: Up to September 30, 2026 (includes a 60-working-day probation period).
- Salary: As per the salary scale of the organization.
- Closing Date: June 01, 2026.
- Primary Purpose: Under the direction of the Logistics and Admin Coordinator, this role manages fleet operations, warehousing, asset tracking, and coordination office administrative activities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Fleet Management: Maintain daily vehicle and motorcycle movement schedules; analyze usage and cost metrics for monthly reports to the Operations Manager; manage vehicle registration, safety equipment provisions, and insurance renewals.
- Warehouse & Inventory: Coordinate physical stock counting; verify quantity and quality against waybills or purchase orders; manage receive/release documentation inside the supply chain system.
- Asset Tracking: Tag field office assets, facilitate annual office inventory reconciliations, and monitor the operational lifecycle or shelf-life of equipment to prevent fraud or waste.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Education: BA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in managing logistics operations, preferably with international organizations.
- Key Skills: Full agreement with FH’s Christian foundation and beliefs. Quantitative and qualitative data analysis, high computer literacy, multi-tasking under deadlines, and sensitivity to cultural and religious diversity.
- Languages: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Amharic.
2. Supply Chain Officer
- Duty Station: Bahir Dar
- Contract Duration: Until September 30, 2026 (includes a 60-working-day probation period).
- Closing Date: June 1, 2026.
- Primary Purpose: Responsible for collecting proforma invoices, preparing detailed bid analysis products, generating purchase orders, verifying the quality of incoming goods, and executing cost-effective procurements in compliance with FHE guidelines.
Core Responsibilities:
- Procurement Execution: Guide user departments on request specifications; collect proformas for the purchase committee; compile standard bidding documents; and submit purchased items to the storekeeper against a Goods Receiving Note (GRN).
- Sourcing & Market Analysis: Conduct market price assessments to advise supervisors on trends; update the pre-qualified vendor database; and assist in drafting the Consolidated FHE Annual Procurement Plan.
- Performance & Compliance: Maintain the procurement tracker, process timely customs exemptions alongside clearing agents, and ensure full alignment with internal policies and major donor guidelines (e.g., USAID).
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Education: BA in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Business, or a relevant subject from a recognized university. Certifications in INGO Supply Chain Management are an advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in procurement or directly related technical fields.
- Key Skills: Full agreement with FH’s Christian foundation and beliefs. Proven expertise with USAID, UN, or OFDA procurement and financial regulations. Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet data analysis (MS Excel) and multi-vendor quote comparison.
- Languages: Proficiency in spoken and written Amharic and English.
