The organization is currently seeking qualified Ethiopian nationals to fill two full-time positions at its office in Addis Ababa.
Open Positions & Requirements
1. Operations Assistant
- Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
- Contract Duration: Initial 1-year contract with strong prospects for extension
- Eligibility: Open to Ethiopian nationals only
- Primary Purpose: Provide day-to-day operational support to Human Resources, general administration, logistics, procurement, asset management, and government liaison functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Human Resources: Assist with hiring processes, organize physical and electronic personnel files, and assist with staff benefits administration.
- General Administration: Maintain filing systems, handle incoming/outgoing memos, manage travel bookings (flights, hotels, conferences), and coordinate with government offices regarding visas, residence permits, and customs clearance.
- Logistics & Procurement: Assist in developing procurement strategies, prepare bid documents, analyze supplier awards, maintain the fixed asset register, and oversee the maintenance of WHH equipment and vehicles.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Education: BA/BSc degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–2 years of professional experience in a logistics, HR, or administration role.
- Liaison Skills: Proven experience interacting with external entities like the Department of Immigration, Authority for Civil Service Organizations, and the Ministry of Revenue.
- Languages: Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Amharic.

2. Program Data and Analytics Expert
- Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

- Primary Purpose: Strengthen MEAL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) data systems, translate logframes into digital data workflows, turn program information into dashboards (Power BI/Tableau), and align practices with GDPR data protection requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Governance & Architecture: Design MEAL data architecture (indicator libraries, metadata, SOPs), set up a secure data repository with role-based access, and apply strict data minimization policies.
- Program Analytics: Build data quality checks to spot outliers; develop management snapshots or dashboards; and conduct trend, vulnerability, or cohort tracking.
- Digital Tools & Field Workflows: Design and test mobile data forms using CommCare, Kobo, or ODK with active skip logic and validations, and train field staff or partner organizations on data collection guidelines.
- Accountability & AI Ethics: Categorize and track feedback from complaints mechanisms. Ensure any use of AI tools for data analysis undergoes human review, maintains complete data privacy, and is never used to automate assistance or targeting eligibility decisions.
Qualifications & Competencies:
- Education: MSc or BSc in Computer Science, Information Management Science, or Data Science.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program data management, information management, analytics, or MEAL within humanitarian or development settings.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel is required alongside experience in Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, R, or Power Query. Expert command of CommCare, Kobo, or ODK platforms is mandatory.
- Languages & Mobility: Excellent spoken and written English and Amharic, with a willingness to travel to project implementation sites.
