Grand Microfinance Institution Share Company (Grand MFI) was established under National Bank of Ethiopia Proclamation No. 626/2009 by 366 individual shareholders and one share company. The institution’s core mission is to provide financial and non-financial services to active poor and “missing middle-income” residents in both urban and rural areas.
Grand MFI is currently seeking qualified professionals to fill three distinct permanent positions at its Head Office.
Open Positions & Requirements
1. Executive Secretary and Cashier
- Location: Head Office
- Job Summary: Manage and maintain the executive’s schedule, meetings, and appointments. Prepare official letters, reports, and memos. Organize meetings, draft agendas, record minutes, maintain petty cash, and prepare periodic petty cash reports.
- Education Requirement: BA Degree or Diploma in Secretarial Science, Office Administration, or a relevant related field.
- Experience & Skills: Minimum of 2 years of experience for BA holders or 4 years for Diploma holders in a relevant role. Experience within a Microfinance Institution (MFI) is preferred.
2. Senior Human Resource and Administration Officer
- Location: Head Office
- Job Summary: Facilitate vacancy announcements and ensure strict compliance with HR laws and regulations. Oversee the shortlisting process according to company criteria; perform purchasing activities; verify that all supplies are received with a Goods Receiving Note (GRN); manage logistics support for all units; and handle general HR and administrative issues.
- Education Requirement: MA or BA Degree in Management, Business Management, HR Management, Public Administration, or related relevant fields.
- Experience & Skills: Minimum of 4 years of experience for MA holders or 6 years for BA holders in a relevant work environment. Experience within an MFI setting is preferred.
3. Senior Share Administration and Company Secretary
- Location: Head Office
- Job Summary: Prepare, organize, and archive minutes for Board of Directors and shareholder meetings. Facilitate communication between the board, management, shareholders, and external stakeholders. Manage shareholder files, take general assembly minutes in accordance with National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) directives, and provide essential information to shareholders.
- Education Requirement: MA or BA Degree in Law, Business, Management, or a related field.
- Experience & Skills: Minimum of 3 years of experience for MA holders or 5 years for BA holders in a similar or related role. Experience in an MFI is preferred, and direct share administration experience is considered a plus.
