HEINEKEN Ethiopia is currently seeking a qualified and motivated professional to fill the contractual position of Human Resource Officer at its Head Office.
Position Overview

- Job Purpose: Support the daily operations of the people function, including recruitment, onboarding, employee data management, and labor law compliance. The role focuses on utilizing the company HR solution, contributing to Operating Company (OpCo) Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, and assisting in data-driven decision-making to enhance the employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
A. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Cycle Support: Assist in the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings on employment agency websites, resume screening, sourcing, interview scheduling, and conducting reference checks.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Brewery HR Managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to streamline recruitment approvals and address related issues within standard timelines.
- Employer Branding: Participate in job fairs, conferences, and networking events to promote the Heineken Ethiopia recruitment brand.
- Post-Employment & Documentation: Coordinate candidate interviews with the Talent Acquisition (TA) Manager, share new hire details with support personnel, and draft employment letters for promotions, transfers, or terminations.
- Onboarding Management: Organize quarterly onboarding sessions, manage workspace and equipment readiness for new staff, conduct probation check-ins, and compile onboarding feedback.
B. Reporting & Data Analysis
- Report Generation: Compile regular metrics on recruitment, onboarding, diversity, and retention (including exit interviews), as well as ad-hoc reports for management.
- Data & Dashboards: Analyze HR system data to identify turnover and recruitment trends, and help update Global and OpCo-specific HR dashboards.
- Compliance: Assist in compiling feedback for engagement reports and prepare compliance-oriented reports to guarantee adherence to internal policies and labor laws.
Job Requirements
Education
- Degree: BA degree in Management, Business Management, Public Administration, or other related business fields.
Experience and Skills
- Years of Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of experience in HR or administration-related functions.
- Preferences: Prior experience specializing in recruitment and onboarding workflows is highly preferred.
- Core Competencies: Strong foundational knowledge of general HR principles, local labor laws, and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
