ELHADAR ENGINEERING Vacancy Announcement

ELHADAR ENGINEERING is a rapidly growing, globally-oriented construction firm undergoing an Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and digital transformation. The company integrates cutting-edge digital project management, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and ERP technology into its on-the-ground delivery.

ELHADAR is seeking senior executive leadership to drive its portfolio of major building and civil infrastructure projects across Ethiopia. Both positions are Full-time, Permanent and open to Ethiopian nationals and qualified expatriates.

Executive Leadership Positions

1. Building and Infrastructure Directorate Director

  • Job Summary: Lead and direct all building construction and civil infrastructure projects from inception to handover. This role requires integrating modern digital project monitoring, BIM, and reporting workflows with delivery excellence.
  • Education: MSc or BSc in Civil Engineering. (Architectural Engineering is an added advantage).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in construction project management, specifically at a director level.
  • Core Competencies & Skills:
    • Demonstrated hands-on experience with BIM frameworks, digital delivery systems, and modern project tools.
    • Deep command of building codes and international/national construction contracts (PPA, FIDIC, or equivalent).
    • Proven track record managing multi-disciplinary teams and expansive project portfolios.
    • Management of directorate budgets, corporate procurement strategies, and subcontractor performance metrics.
  • Location: Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

2. Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) – Construction Sector

  • Job Summary: Serve as the strategic co-pilot to the Chief Executive, driving operational excellence, financial performance, and business growth across all construction activities. This executive will champion the company’s Enterprise Project Management (EPM) transformation programme.
  • Education: MSc or BSc in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field. (An MBA is highly preferred).
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years served in an executive senior leadership role.
  • Core Competencies & Skills:
    • Demonstrated history of steering enterprise-level or digital transformations within the construction industry.
    • Direct exposure to EPM frameworks, ERP systems, and data-driven corporate decision-making.
    • Strong financial acumen, contract management expertise, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Proven capability to foster strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and handle relations with government bodies, financiers, and international partners.
  • Location: Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
