The society is currently seeking two (2) highly skilled, professional, and proactive Senior IT Officers to manage its information technology department, ensure network security, and drive data management efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
1. Systems & Network Administration
- Oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and security of the SACCO’s hardware, software, and local networks.
- Manage user accounts, access privileges, and verify that peripheral devices operate correctly.
- Troubleshoot hardware failures, execute basic repairs promptly, and minimize system downtime.
- Set up, monitor, and enforce data backup, disaster recovery, and network security policies to eliminate vulnerabilities and mitigate computer fraud.
2. Software & Strategy Management
- Maintain and update operating systems, financial application software, and system documentations.
- Establish comprehensive internal IT policies and advise senior management on relevant technology trends or product selections that enhance operational efficiency.
- Spearhead an internal IT committee composed of managers and users to prioritize system improvements.
3. Training & Technical Support
- Train staff on proprietary banking/application software programs and oversee internal users on technical workflows.
- Ensure quick, effective troubleshooting response for recurring software errors or network performance lag.
4. Database, Website, & Data Management
- Administer, secure, and update the society’s core database and official website.
- Process, compile, sort, and verify source documents for accurate numerical and statistical data entry into prescribed system forms.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to highlight and upload organizational success stories.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), or a related discipline.
Work Experience:
- For BA/BSc Holders: Minimum of 5 years of overall professional experience in system administration, database management, or IT infrastructure.
- For MA/MSc Holders: Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a related IT environment.
Core Competencies:
- Strong system operations, hardware maintenance, network setup, and software optimization skills.
- Proven problem-solving capabilities, clear communication, teamwork dynamics, and strict attention to detail.
