Sinopia Import and Export PLC is an Ethiopian trading company operating across global supply chain management, coffee export, renewable energy/water pumping solutions, and office equipment distribution. The company is currently developing the World Trade Center Addis Ababa, a state-of-the-art real estate and trade service complex.

Open Position

Head of Finance

• Job Overview: Executive role providing strategic financial leadership for both Sinopia Import & Export PLC and World Trade Center Addis Ababa. Reports directly to the CEO/General Manager.
• Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Planning & Control: Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and management reporting across all business units.
  • Reporting & Compliance: Oversee financial statement preparation, tax compliance, statutory reporting, and audit coordination.
  • Project & Import Finance: Direct financial controls for import operations, foreign currency management, landed cost calculations, and construction commitments for World Trade Center Addis Ababa.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Provide financial risk evaluations to senior leadership on investments, lead the accounting department, and manage bank/tax authority relations.
• Qualifications & Criteria:
  • Education: BA Degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional credentials (ACCA/CPA) and IFRS expertise are advantageous.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Sector Experience: Background in import/trading, project finance, construction, or real estate is highly desirable.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced MS Excel skills, ERP/accounting system proficiency, and strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and financial regulations.
