Finance Assistant Intern

• Job Summary: Provide direct administrative and operational support to the Head of Finance, Administration, and HR. This role offers practical hands-on learning in financial documentation, compliance tracking, record-keeping, and general financial administration within the NGO sector.
• Contract Type: Full-time Internship
• Duration: 6 Months
• Location: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
• Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Recent graduate or final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: Fresh graduates or individuals with less than 1 year of professional experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Language Skills: Excellent written and spoken English and Amharic.
  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Key Competencies: Strong organizational skills, eagerness to learn, high level of integrity, and ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head of Finance, Administration, and HR in organizing, filing, and archiving financial documents, payment vouchers, invoices, and receipts.
  • Perform preliminary reviews of financial documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational procedures.
  • Log, digitize, and update financial data into tracking sheets and financial templates.
  • Support the preparation of documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Assist in handling general administrative tasks, financial correspondence, and documentation workflows.
