
Position: Senior Finance & Accounting Officer
Terms of Employment: One-Year Contract (with possibility of extension)
Duty Station: Addis Ababa

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Software
- Maintain Peachtree accounting records
- Conduct bank reconciliations and manage asset registers
Audit & IPSAS Compliance
- Lead annual institutional audits based on IPSAS
- Coordinate and manage all project-specific audits
Payroll & Tax
- Prepare monthly payroll
- Ensure timely settlement of statutory taxes in compliance with Ethiopian Tax Law
Financial Management
- Prepare project budget utilization and financial reports
- Maintain strong internal control systems
Operations & Administration
- Ensure transparent beneficiary and supplier selection
- Support procurement, logistics, and administrative functions
Supervision & Coordination
- Coordinate financial documentation and reporting between Head Office and Project Offices
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant NGO experience
- Proven experience in:
- IPSAS-based reporting
- Peachtree Accounting Software
- Ethiopian Tax Laws
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong leadership and supervision skills
- Excellent reporting and documentation ability
- High proficiency in accounting software (Peachtree)
- Strong integrity and attention to detail
