Job Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales performance by identifying market opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting company products and services. The role involves market research, client engagement, sales reporting, and achieving assigned sales targets.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Market Research & Targeting
- Research local demand and identify potential clients (homeowners, businesses, contractors, interior designers)
- Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, and market trends
Networking & Promotion
- Attend trade fairs, exhibitions, and community events
- Build relationships with construction companies, architects, and interior designers
- Develop promotional materials (brochures, catalogs, social media content)
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Provide consultations and propose tailored solutions
- Prepare quotations and negotiate contracts transparently
- Maintain long-term relationships and follow up for repeat business or referrals
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain records of leads and client interactions
- Track sales performance against targets
- Prepare regular sales reports for management
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field
Work Experience
- Minimum of 2 years relevant sales experience, preferably in manufacturing or real estate-related sectors
Required Knowledge & Skills
- Strong customer service and persuasion skills
- Excellent communication skills in Amharic and English
- Ability to assess customer needs and provide effective solutions
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and market trends
