π Job Summary
The Human Resources Officer is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the HR department. The role focuses on managing employee records, assisting recruitment and onboarding processes, preparing payroll inputs, monitoring staff attendance, and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations.
The position also contributes to maintaining a positive work environment by supporting employee relations, performance management, and internal communication while working closely with department managers to ensure effective workforce management.

π Key Responsibilities
Human Resources Management
- Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and staff documentation
- Maintain employee files and digital HR records
- Manage employee attendance, leave, and benefits administration
- Organize staff performance reviews and training programs
- Handle disciplinary cases and termination procedures in line with labor law
Payroll & Finance Coordination
- Collect payroll inputs and prepare monthly salary data
- Track commissions, overtime, and bonuses with the finance team
- Support financial follow-ups with partners and training participants
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in HR financial records
Government Relations & Legal Support
- Liaise with government institutions such as labor offices, tax authorities, and city administration
- Follow up company registrations, licenses, and compliance documentation
- Support legal consultants on HR-related issues and disputes
- Manage contracts, NDAs, and legal documentation
Revenue Collection Follow-Up
- Contact partners or clients regarding unpaid invoices
- Support finance department in reconciling receivables
- Maintain professional communication with vendors and partners
Public Relations & Guest Reception (When Required)
- Receive and assist visitors professionally
- Present company services and guide guests to relevant departments
- Represent the company in meetings, events, and delegations
- Draft official letters, emails, and PR-related content
Administrative & Internal Coordination
- Provide administrative support to senior management
- Ensure HR manuals, forms, and policies are updated and accessible
- Maintain HR calendar and prepare monthly reports
- Organize internal team-building and staff engagement events
π Education Requirement
Bachelorβs Degree in:
- Human Resource Management
- Business Administration
- Law
- Related fields
πΌ Experience Requirement
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in HR or administrative roles
π Additional Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian Labor Proclamation
- Good command of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication tools
- Experience using online portals and HR systems
