The Procurement & Supply Chain Director is responsible for planning, directing, and managing the organization’s overall procurement and supply chain operations. The role ensures efficient, transparent, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services locally and internationally while supporting uninterrupted factory operations.
📋 Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement annual procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Collect procurement requirements from factories and departments and prepare annual procurement plans
- Ensure procurement processes follow company policies and procurement regulations
- Lead local and international procurement processes, including supplier sourcing and contract negotiation
- Maintain and evaluate a reliable supplier database
- Ensure continuous supply of production inputs, spare parts, and operational materials
- Coordinate procurement activities to ensure timely delivery and avoid production disruptions
- Manage tender preparation, supplier evaluation, and contract administration
- Verify purchased goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with specifications
- Facilitate foreign currency requests for international procurement
- Implement procurement systems and controls to ensure transparency and accountability
- Monitor procurement activities in factories to ensure compliance with policies
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing and delivery terms
- Prepare procurement performance reports and recommend improvements
- Lead and develop procurement and supply chain teams
🎓 Education Requirement
Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Business Management
- Accounting & Finance
- Logistics & Supply Chain Management
- Economics
- Related fields
💼 Experience Requirement
- 8–10 years of relevant work experience
- 4–6 years in managerial or supervisory roles
- At least 2 years experience in factory or FMCG environment
- Proven experience in international procurement (foreign purchasing)
