Position Title

Intern – Digital Communications


Location

  • Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Educational Qualification

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (minimum 2nd year completed) in:
    • Communications
    • Journalism
    • Related fields
  • OR enrolled in a graduate (Master’s) program in relevant fields
  • OR recent graduate (within the last 6 months) in:
    • Communications
    • Journalism
    • Related disciplines

Experience

  • Fresh graduates / students are encouraged to apply
  • No prior work experience required (portfolio is important)

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in:
    • Adobe Premiere Pro
    • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
    • After Effects, Lightroom
    • Canva & MS Office
  • Strong digital communication and content creation skills
  • Creative portfolio with attention to detail
  • Good understanding of communication strategies
  • Ability to work independently and in diverse teams
  • Flexibility and adaptability

Language Requirement

  • Fluency in:
    • English (written & spoken)
    • Amharic (written & spoken)

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must have attended university within the last 12 months
  • Must be able to travel and work in the duty station
  • Must not be an immediate family member of WFP staff
  • Educational credentials must be from recognized institutions (e.g., recognized by UNESCO or national authorities)
