The Ethiopian Airlines Group is recruiting highly experienced technical, engineering, financial, and administrative professionals for its Project Management Office (PMO) overseeing major aviation infrastructure developments.

Engineering & Infrastructure Positions

1. Planning & Scheduling Expert

  • Education & Experience: * BSc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, OR
    • MSc in Project/Construction Management with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Core Duties: Create, maintain, and update the project Master Schedule; identify and analyze Critical Path (CP) activities; integrate Contractor (EPC) schedules and draft delay mitigation plans.

2. Geotechnical Engineer

  • Education: Minimum of a BSc Degree in Geotechnical Engineering or Civil Engineering (with a Geotech specialization).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience, including at least 2 years focused on foundation design and soil mechanics for large-scale civil/structural projects.
  • Core Duties: Review and approve geotechnical investigation reports and foundation designs (piles, raft); provide expert technical input on soil stability and compaction testing.

3. Hydrologist

  • Education: Minimum of a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or Hydrology.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in hydrological modeling and design for large infrastructure or urban developments.
  • Core Duties: Review watershed analysis and floodplain mapping; oversee the design of large-scale stormwater drainage systems and culverts for airfield and landside areas.

4. Sr. Surveyor

  • Education: Minimum of a BSc Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience, including at least 2 years as a Senior Surveyor on large-scale civil works or airport infrastructure.
  • Core Duties: Establish the primary geodetic control network (horizontal and vertical); verify contractor as-built surveys and cut/fill volume calculations using GPS/GNSS, total stations, and laser scanning.

Project Controls, Legal & Document Management

5. Cost Controller

  • Education: Minimum of an MSc Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience in cost control, budget management, and financial forecasting for major projects.
  • Special Requirement: Strong, proven background in FIDIC contract pricing and costing.
  • Core Duties: Maintain the PMO cost model; track financial commitments and expenditures; provide monthly cash flow projections and budget variance analyses.

6. Document Controllers (3 Openings)

  • Division A: Supporting Facilities & Ancillary Buildings
  • Division B: Early Works & Offsite Links
  • Division C: Main Buildings, GTC & ATC
  • Education & Experience: * BA Degree in Information Management, Business Administration, or Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of direct experience on major engineering projects and expert proficiency in E-DMS platforms, OR
    • College Diploma in the same fields with a minimum of 7 years of direct experience.
  • Core Duties: Manage the receipt, registration, indexing, and distribution of drawings, specifications, RFIs, and transmittals using the Electronic Document Management System (E-DMS). Enforce strict version control.

7. Lawyer

  • Education: Minimum of an LL.B Degree.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in construction law or corporate law.
  • Core Duties: Support the Senior Lawyer in contract reviews, compile legal documentation for disputes, and assist with regulatory compliance filings.

Finance, IT & Communications Roles

8. Cash Flow Specialist

  • Education: Minimum of a BA Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum of 9 years of experience in cash flow management for large-scale corporate or infrastructure projects.
  • Core Duties: Manage project cash flow forecasting, track liquidity, and deliver financial control reporting.

9. Disbursement Expert

  • Education: Minimum of a BA Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Experience: Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience in financial control, cash management, and disbursement, preferably in project finance.
  • Core Duties: Manage all project disbursements and contractor/vendor payment requests; ensure absolute compliance with contractual terms, PMO financial policy, and investor/lender requirements.

10. IT Expert

  • Education: Minimum of a BSc Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support or help desk roles within an enterprise-level corporate environment.
  • Core Duties: Manage deployment, licensing, and support for specialized engineering software (Primavera, AutoCAD, ETAB, Adobe Pro); oversee PMO IT equipment and maintain LAN connectivity.

11. Media Monitoring and Feedback Officer

  • Education: Minimum of a BA Degree in Journalism or Public Relations.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in professional media monitoring and public feedback analysis.
  • Core Duties: Track media coverage, analyze public feedback, and prepare project perception reports for leadership.

12. Communication Officer

  • Education: Minimum of a BA Degree in Public Relations or Communications.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Core Duties: Develop project communication materials, manage media relations, and support public relations campaigns.
