The Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Services Enterprise (ESLSE) was formed through the consolidation of four independent state enterprises in the maritime and sea transport sector—Ethiopian Shipping Lines S.C. (originally established on March 1, 1956 E.C.), Ethiopian Maritime and Transit Service Enterprise, Dry Port Enterprise, and Comet Transport S.C. ESLSE serves as the national flagship enterprise providing integrated sea transport, multimodal logistics, and port services.

General Terms & Remuneration
- Salary & Compensation: As per the Enterprise salary scale, supplemented by competitive fringe benefits.
- Mandatory Medical Requirement: Selected candidates must submit a valid Medical Examination Fit/Unfit Report issued by a medical examiner authorized by the Ethiopian Maritime Authority (EMA) for seafarers.
- Mandatory Educational Record: Applicants must submit their Grade 8 Ministry Card alongside secondary/vocational credentials.
Maritime & Vessel Operations Career Opportunities
1. 2nd Cook
Prepares meals for vessel operations; requires Level IV Certificate with COC in Food Preparation & Beverage Service or Food Production Supervision + 2 years of progressive experience as a Cook. Location: Addis Ababa / HQ / Vessel Operations.
2. Mess Man
Handles food and beverage service on board; requires Level IV Certificate with COC in Food and Beverage Service + 2 years of experience as a Waiter. Location: Vessel Operations.
3. Laundry Man
Manages housekeeping and laundry operations; requires Level IV Certificate with COC in Housekeeping & Laundry Operation or Front Office Supervision + 2 years of experience as a Laundryman. Location: Vessel Operations.
