π Position Summary: HR Officer
The HR Officer at East African National Distribution S.C. (EAND), a subsidiary of EAH, plays a crucial role in ensuring HR and General Service operations are smoothly executed. The position supports implementation of HR strategies, recruitment, compliance, training coordination, and office/facility services.
π Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Post job vacancies and coordinate interviews
- Assist onboarding and induction for new employees
- Maintain employee documentation
2. HR Operations & Records
- Maintain accurate HR records (digital & physical)
- Monitor leave balances, staff movement, and contract statuses
- Prepare HR reports and updates
3. Policy & Labor Law Compliance
- Implement company HR policies and Ethiopian labor laws
- Handle employee queries and grievances
- Support documentation for disciplinary actions
4. Performance Management
- Administer probation and evaluation processes
- Track Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
- Ensure timely performance reviews
5. Training & Development
- Coordinate training sessions and logistics
- Track attendance and feedback
6. General Services & Administration
- Ensure proper office cleaning, supplies, and maintenance
- Follow up on repair services, sanitation, and utilities
- Tag office assets and maintain furniture/equipment inventory
7. Facility & Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate with drivers, cleaners, and security personnel
- Support office relocations and event/meeting setups
π Job Requirements
Education:
- BA degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, or related fields.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in HR or general services
- Experience with HRIS/ERP systems is a plus
Skills & Competencies:
- Solid knowledge of Ethiopian labor law and HR best practices
- Excellent organizational and coordination skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Integrity, confidentiality, and a team-player mindset
