Position: Human Resources Manager

Location: Landmark General Hospital, Addis Ababa

About the Job:
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all HR functions within Landmark General Hospital, ensuring compliance with employment laws and fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance work culture. Reporting directly to the CEO, the HR Manager will lead strategic planning, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and training collaboration.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, interviews, selection, onboarding
  • Collaborate with departmental leaders to develop recruitment strategies

Onboarding and Training

  • Design structured onboarding programs for smooth new hire integration
  • Coordinate technical and soft skills training programs
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and employee performance
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing concerns and resolving conflicts
  • Implement employee engagement initiatives
  • Conduct exit interviews and gather feedback

Employee Relations

  • Provide guidance on employee relations issues ensuring fairness and consistency
  • Promote open communication

Performance Management

  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems
  • Guide managers on performance improvement and employee development
  • Ensure fair and consistent performance evaluations aligned with organizational goals

Compensation and Benefits

  • Oversee compensation and benefits administration ensuring competitiveness and equity
  • Conduct market research to update salary structures and benefits
  • Manage benefits enrollment and communication

Policy Development and Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and update HR policies compliant with local labor laws
  • Maintain ethical HR practices and confidentiality of records

Organizational Development

  • Collaborate on organizational strategies and workforce planning
  • Facilitate change management and promote continuous improvement

HR Metrics and Reporting

  • Analyze HR data to evaluate program effectiveness
  • Prepare reports with trends and recommendations for management
  • Use data to inform decision-making and strategic planning

About You:

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or related field
  • 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
