📝 Job Summary
The Purchaser will lead the procurement of construction materials, logistics supplies, and operational tools from local suppliers. This role ensures timely, cost-effective purchasing aligned with EAND SC’s operational and project needs—supporting supply reliability and efficiency across the organization’s distribution, construction, and energy sectors.
📌 Key Responsibilities
✅ Procurement Management:
- Source and evaluate local suppliers for construction materials and services.
- Prepare and issue accurate purchase orders.
- Monitor procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery aligned with project requirements.
- Ensure procured goods meet company and construction quality standards.
✅ Supplier Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Assess supplier performance regularly and resolve issues affecting timelines.
- Negotiate favorable terms and pricing.
✅ Cost Control & Budget Management:
- Monitor procurement expenses, ensuring alignment with project budgets.
- Identify and implement cost-saving strategies.
- Report procurement activities, savings, and trends.
✅ Inventory & Stock Management:
- Work with inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Procure construction materials proactively to avoid stockouts.
- Resolve discrepancies between orders and received goods.
✅ Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate procurement records.
- Submit detailed reports on procurement performance and costs.
✅ Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct ongoing market research to identify best-value suppliers.
- Monitor price trends for construction materials to anticipate budget impacts.
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of procurement experience, preferably in the construction sector.
- Skills:
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement, cost control, and supplier management.
- Experience collaborating with inventory teams for effective stock management.
- Strong analytical skills for cost control and market analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, procurement software, and ERP systems.
