
About the Job:
Medical Teams International is a relief and development charity that focuses on providing health and wholeness in a hurting world. The Nutrition Intern’s primary purpose is to ensure quality reporting on Nutrition programs for vulnerable refugee and host populations in MTI operations in Ethiopia.
Job Responsibilities:
- Support nutrition experts in collecting, organizing, and documenting program data and reports.
- Assist in organizing and booking meetings, workshops, and trainings.
- Help with reviewing program success stories and lessons.
- Participate in nutrition and health sectoral trainings.
- Assist in the timely submission of reports and updates.
- Demonstrate progressive learning and continuous self-development.
- Compile and share project bi-weekly and monthly reports.
- Follow up on procurements and prepare procurement plans.
- Facilitate approval and settlement of advances from field offices.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Qualifications:
- Education: BSc degree in Health, Nutrition, or a related field with a cumulative GPA of 3.6 and above.
- Experience: Not required.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of Nutrition programs. Fluent spoken and written Amharic and English. Strong interpersonal and team skills. Excellent communicator and problem-solver.
- Physical Conditions: The position requires frequent travel to health facilities in remote areas with basic living conditions.
