About Us:

World Vision Ethiopia has been actively involved in humanitarian and development projects since 1971. Our focus includes education, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), nutrition, emergency response, faith and development, food security, economic development, climate change, and environmental projects. 1. JEOP 2.0 Cash and Food Monitoring Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct live food distribution observations to ensure compliance with JEOP consortium and donor standards.
  • Perform end-use checks after each distribution round, verifying beneficiaries’ entitlements.
  • Conduct warehouse inspections to ensure compliance with donor and consortium standards.
  • Review cash and food transaction documents, providing feedback on standard recording and documentation.
  • Ensure control procedures prevent corruption and misappropriation.
  • Collaborate with CRS cash and food monitoring staff, actively addressing findings at the field level.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BSc in social science fields (Development studies, Agriculture, Economics, etc.).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food assistance projects.
  • Willingness to travel in difficult terrain.
  • Computer literacy is an added advantage.

2. Carbon Officer for Burqaa Initiative Phase II

Responsibilities:

  • Lead carbon projects site delineation via GPS, reforestation/afforestation, and planting.
  • Establish permanent sample plots for carbon stock monitoring.
  • Train local experts, communities, and partners on climate change and tree cover importance.
  • Undertake energy-efficient cooking stoves (EECS) need assessment and monitoring.
  • Advocate for sustainable natural resources management and climate resilience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and facilitate capacity-building training.

Qualifications:

  • BSc/MSc in Forestry/NRM/Climate change.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in carbon accounting/NRM/Climate change/Forestry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in English and computer skills.
  • Motorbike driving license is an additional requirement.

3. Emergency WASH Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the feasibility study, design, and supervision of emergency WASH interventions.
  • Monitor and supervise construction activities, ensuring adherence to specifications and schedules.
  • Integrate gender, protection, and environmental considerations into WASH activities.
  • Prepare and share regular reports on WASH interventions.
  • Conduct baseline and end-line evaluations and post-distribution monitoring.

Qualifications:

  • 4 years’ experience in relevant WASH projects/programs.
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Hydraulic, Water supply, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency in English and Afan Oromo.
  • Basic computer skills.

4. GBV and MHPSS Coordinator (Re-advertised)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of all GBV programs, ensuring staff capacity for quality programming.
  • Prepare situation reports, updates, and analyses related to GBViE and MHPSS.
  • Conduct field visits, assess local conditions, and monitor progress.
  • Design, prepare, monitor, and evaluate Protection projects.
  • Provide technical support and capacity-building training.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience for BA and 3 years for MA graduates in GBV, Child protection, etc.
  • Extensive training in GBV, MHPSS, Case management, and international technical guidelines.
  • First degree in social work, sociology, psychology, public health, or relevant fields.
