United Nations Nippon Foundation Fellowship 2025

The United Nations Nippon Foundation Fellowship is a prestigious program designed to provide advanced knowledge and skills in ocean affairs and international law of the sea to government officials and mid-level professionals from developing countries. This fellowship is administered by the United Nations Division for Ocean Affairs and the Law of the Sea and aims to support individuals who are directly involved in these fields.

  • 9 months (3 months in New York and 6 months in a host institution)

  • Field: Must be dealing directly with ocean affairs.

  2. Ensure the application is typewritten or word-processed.
  3. Answer all questions completely and clearly.
  4. Pay special attention to sections 18, 19, 20, 21, and 23 of the application.
  5. Provide a correct personal history.
  6. Submit a proposed research and study program plan.
  7. Get the application form signed or attested by the nominating authority or officer in charge.
