
Marketing & Business Development Department Manager
Bless Agri Food Laboratory Service Plc is looking for a dynamic and results-oriented Marketing & Business Development Department Manager to join our team in Legetafo, Oromia, Ethiopia. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Basic Functions
As a Marketing & Business Development Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the organization’s growth. Your core responsibilities will include identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring our laboratory services meet the evolving demands of the food, beverage, and agriculture sectors. This role requires strategic planning, market analysis, client acquisition, and close collaboration with internal teams to align our offerings with market needs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, emerging needs, and potential clients in the food, beverage, and agriculture industries.
- Analyze competitors’ service offerings and market positioning.
- Closely follow updated local and international standards relevant to the company’s business.
- Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the company’s goals and objectives.
- Identify new markets and service opportunities to drive growth.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Identify and engage potential clients, including food manufacturers, processors, and retailers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Present and promote the company’s services, addressing specific client needs and concerns.
- Proposal Development and Negotiation:
- Prepare tailored proposals and quotations for clients.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure new business.
- Collaboration with Internal Teams:
- Work closely with other departments to ensure services meet client expectations and industry standards.
- Provide client feedback to inform service improvements and new service development.
- Networking and Representation:
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote services and identify business opportunities.
- Develop partnerships with industry associations and stakeholders.
- Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Maintain records of business development and marketing activities, client interactions, and sales performance.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management on business development progress and outcomes.
- Promotion & Advertisement:
- Promote company services to potential customers.
- Follow up, arrange, and participate in relevant exhibitions.
- Promote company services using digital marketing (Social Media).
- Execute additional relevant activities as directed by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Education: MSc/MA/MBA or BSc/BA in Economics, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 8 years of relevant experience for MSc/MA/MBA holders, with 3 years in a managerial position.
- 10 years of relevant experience for BSc/BA holders, with 3 years in a managerial position.
- Experience should be in business development, sales, or marketing.
- Required Skills: Business Development.
