Heineken Ethiopia: Global Graduate Program – Commerce

Heineken Ethiopia has launched its Global Graduate Program (GGP), a prestigious three-year fast-track initiative designed to develop future leaders in the Commerce function. The program offers a blend of local and international rotations to build a global mindset and deep functional expertise.

Program Structure

The program spans three years and is divided into three distinct six-month rotations, followed by an 18-month “Landing Role”:

Rotation 1 (Local): Based in Ethiopia, focusing on functional foundations, strategy, and culture.
Rotation 2 (Cross-functional): Based in Ethiopia, focusing on how different business areas interconnect.
Rotation 3 (International): An overseas assignment to enhance cultural adaptability and a global perspective.
Landing Role: A management position within Heineken Ethiopia for 18 months to apply developed skills.

Commerce Department Focus

The Commerce team is responsible for business growth by connecting brands with consumers. Key areas of work include:

Sales and marketing strategy.
Brand and trade marketing management.
Media, innovation, and route-to-consumer strategies.
Data-driven consumer insights and customer engagement.

Requirements & Criteria

Heineken is looking for ambitious, adventurous individuals with leadership potential.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Experience: New graduates only (maximum of 1-year post-graduation). No specific work experience required.
Languages: Essential proficiency in English and local language requirements.
Mobility: Must be fully globally mobile for international assignments.
Skills: Knowledge of commercial processes.

Selection Process Timeline

Application Submission: May 11th – May 25th, 2026.
Online Assessments: Situational behavior scenarios and cognitive tests (scheduled for June).
Interviews: Two rounds for successful candidates (aiming for July).
Assessment Center: In-person evaluations and activities (planned for July).
