Altera Luxury Living is a high-end, premium serviced-apartment and hotel-apartment brand operating in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Catering to corporate business travelers, international diplomats, and discerning guests, the property blends contemporary facilities with international service standards.
Altera is currently seeking qualified and motivated individuals to fill four (4) distinct positions within its management, maintenance, and guest services departments.
Management & Technical Roles
1. General Manager
- Location: Altera Luxury Living Hotel Apartment
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or an equivalent field of study.
- Experience: Minimum of 8–12 years of progressive experience in hotel or serviced residence management, with a mandatory baseline of at least 4 years serving in a senior leadership or General Manager role.
- Core Competencies: * Strong commercial acumen with extensive knowledge in Rooms Management, budget administration, revenue proposals, and yield forecasting.
- Practical, proven experience navigating Property Management Systems (PMS), Central Reservation Systems (CRS), OTA channels, and modern revenue management tools.
- Exceptional leadership and cross-cultural communication skills to steer and inspire a diverse hospitality team.
2. Plumber / Handyman
- Location: Altera Luxury Living Hotel Apartment
- Experience: Proven, practical work experience operating as a professional plumber and general property handyman.
- Core Competencies: * Strong technical knowledge of structural plumbing networks, water systems, and general facilities maintenance practices.
- Sharp troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving capacity to address facility maintenance issues quickly and effectively.
- Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently with minimal daily supervision. Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Guest Services & Rooms Operations
3. Housekeeping Attendant
- Location: Altera Luxury Living Hotel Apartment
- Experience: Previous professional housekeeping or room cleaning experience is preferred but not strictly required.
- Physical & Core Requirements: Strong attention to physical detail, high commitment to room cleanliness, and the stamina to lift heavy linen loads and stand or move for extended shift periods. Ability to cooperate closely within a team structure.
4. Laundry Attendant
- Location: Altera Luxury Living Hotel Apartment
- Experience: Previous experience inside commercial laundry services or a similar hospitality role is preferred but not required.
- Physical & Core Requirements: Excellent organizational and time management skills to keep pace in a high-turnover environment. Must be capable of lifting heavy laundry loads and standing for extended working hours while maintaining strict quality control.
